Pia Toscano is a contestant on season 10 of American Idol. She allegedly has advanced to the Top 40 with the first voting round being a top 20. Pia is a longtime favorite of American Idol since her first audition season 6 when she made it to Hollywood but was cut before finals. This year Pia is stronger than ever and has a good shot of making top 10 and possibly even winning! It was a great episode tonight of American Idol, following the remaining contestants through the always brutal group round. Idol forced groups to form with members from Day 1 and 2 of the first Hollywood auditions and a minimum of 3 participants. One of the first groups out of the gate showed us the adorable, Pia Toscano and her vocal ability.
In a shocker that left the judges angry and studio audience members booing, “American Idol” viewers failed to give Pia Toscano the votes she needed to advance into the next round. Toscano was considered by many to be the best singer in the field. “I have no idea what just happened here,” said a stunned Jennifer Lopez after Toscano’s early elimination was announced. She got eliminated on 7th April 2011 from American Idol.
