Luke Matheny (born December 23, 1976, in Wilmington, Delaware) is an American actor, writer, and director. Matheny is an Academy Award winner, receiving the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for "God of Love". Gangly young filmmaker Luke Matheny delighted the Oscar night time audience on Sunday as he recognised the award for Best Live Action Short Film. Matheny stared as distressed as anyone as he took the point, voicing what all then was thinking. Matheny is the writer, director, and star of God of Love, which is on odd 18-minute short film. This film was his student thesis in the graduate film program at NYU. God of Love is about a jazz singer who performs amazing dart tricks on stage.
