Jennifer Ann "Jenny" McCarthy (born November 1, 1972) is an American model, comedian, actress, author and activist. She began her career as a Playboy magazine model in 1993, before launching a television and film acting career. Most recently, she has written books about parenting, and has become an activist promoting claims not supported by medical evidence that vaccines cause autism and chelation therapy helps cure it. Following in the footsteps of Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenoweth and Mel B, actress/Autism activist/mom Jenny McCarthy has teamed up with ShoeDazzle for their “Celebrity Shoe Design Program for Charity.” McCarthy designed a special studded pump, which she appropriately named “Fearless.” All of the profits from the sale of the shoe will benefit Generation Rescue, an organization dedicated to recovery for children with autism spectrum disorders by providing guidance and support for medical treatment to directly improve the child’s quality of life for all families in need.
