Janis Lyn Joplin January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970 was an American singer, songwriter and music arranger. She rose to prominence in the late 1960s as the lead singer of Big Brother and the Holding Company and resultant as a solo artist. Rolling Stone magazine organised Joplin diagram 46 on its items of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004, and diagram 28 on its 2008 items of 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. This LP retains part of Janis Joplin's last ever concert. Recorded on 12 August, 1970 at the Harvard Stadium in Cambridge on very primitive amateur equipment. Judging by the quotation number (713) and the names, this LP was likely issued in 1971, not less than before the issue of Pearl, since the pathways that were on that posthumous issue have been granted rather madly estimated names.
